Charles Dallas McClure Jr., 79, passed away on Feb. 16, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Charles Jr. was born on October 13, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Dallas McClure and Ruth Hortense Coombs. Charles graduated from East High School in 1954, spent many years in the Army Reserve, was a Free Mason and also an accountant at the local VW dealership many years ago.
He married Sharri Lee Gaskill on September 5, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2009 they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Charles worked at Wheeler Machinery Co. for 32 years before retiring. During those years he held various positions throughout the company helping to support both employees and hundreds of customers to help grow Wheeler into the successful company it is today.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting and spending time with his wife(s), children and grandchildren. Charles was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, Salt Lake City, Utah. Following the death of Sharri, Charles married Kayleen Butler on May 25, 2012.
Survived by his current wife, Kayleen McClure; sons, Rick McClure; Doug (Lise) McClure; Mark (Sarah) McClure; eight grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Hill; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 E. 3300 S. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the church as well. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
