Charles Luther Davidson

Chuck came into this world March 30, 1939 and left it March 23, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Los Angeles to Paul Davidson and Celo Wilmot, he raised daughters Donna (Peck) and Brooke (Wickham) in Lake Tahoe with his wife Kathie; sailed often with his brother, Jon, sister-in-law Beth, and nephew, Mark; and celebrated each of his grandchildren: Tyler, Katherine, Austin, and Michelle.

In 1996, he met his life partner, Jean Cheney, on a sailing trip in Spain and in 1999 moved to Salt Lake City. Chuck built gyroscopes, flew planes, captained boats, and managed businesses. He never took himself or the world too seriously. What he did take seriously were friends and the people he loved. In lieu of flowers, have a beer with someone you haven’t seen in a while, help a neighbor mend his fence, make paper airplanes with a child, carry someone’s luggage up the stairs. Cook a pot roast. Fly a plane, hoist a sail, set your course. Avoid complaining about what you can’t control. Dance with your love in a furniture store, and raise a glass with friends. Live, love, laugh and be happy!
