Cathy Ann Musso

Cathy Ann Musso, 72, returned to her beloved Heavenly Father on July 9th, 2021, in her home surrounded by friends and loved ones. Cathy was born to Bernard Joseph Musso and Joyce Ladora Bulkley Musso on July 29th, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the oldest of three children. She moved to Pueblo, Colorado in the early 1950's to be closer to family. She graduated from East High School in Pueblo, Colorado. Cathy lived in a home in Colorado in 1978. She then moved to Lindon, Utah in the early 1980's. She later moved to Nephi where she resided in a home there.

She loved Nephi, the community, and the 3rd Ward so much that she refused to move away, and live closer to family.  She was loved and adored by anyone and everyone that was involved in her life. You could not help but love Cathy as she had a spirit like no other.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Gospel was the most important thing in her life along with her family and friends. She had many callings in her ward over the years. Her favorite place on earth was the temple. She enjoyed doing temple work for the dead as well as baptisms for the dead. She enjoyed getting up every month and bearing her testimony to her ward family. She started it out every time with "Good morning my 3rd Ward family."

Cathy was an incredibly involved member of the community. She enjoyed helping with the Ute Stampede Rodeo, the pageants that were done in the community, and helping in the Country Store on the Fourth of July. She was a Black Belt in Taekwondo. She was working on her second black belt when she had to give it up due to being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Cathy was a fighter and fought through pancreatic cancer. Once Cathy recovered from this health scare her dear friend Tassie Ingram took Cathy on a church tour trip where she was able to follow Joseph Smith's life's journey. She was able to go to the Nauvoo Temple on this trip and do a session at the temple which she absolutely loved.

She was preceded in death by her father Bernard Joseph Musso, her mother Joyce Ladora Bulkley Musso, and her stepmother Katherine Musso. She is survived by her brother Joseph Musso (Linda), Castle Rock, Colorado, and her other brother Brian Musso, (Kathy), Saint George, Utah. Cathy is also survived by her Nephi 3rd Ward family and friends as well as the staff and manager at her home and day program.

We would like to thank the following people for the love and support that was provided for Cathy. Thank you to the medical personnel at Central Valley Medical Center, Utah Valley Hospital, her staff with Chrysalis residential care, and Chrysalis day program. We would also like to thank all her very dear friends. Here are a few that really need to be mentioned: Bishop Olsen and his family, Bishop Jim Wilburn and family, Nan Elder, Ann and Phil Baker, Holly and Kevin Beard, Jeff Sanders and his family, Trisha Steele, Bill and Cheryl Motes and so many more.

We would like to invite anyone that would like to pay their respects to a Memorial Service on Thursday, July 15th from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home in Nephi, Utah, located at 94 West 300 North.
