Carolyn Holder

Carolyn Pratt Holder, 61, passed away on October 9, 2018, at her home with family by her side. She was born December 15, 1956, in Logan, Utah to Alma Glenn and Barbara Burton Pratt.

Her brothers and sisters are Eunice (Glen) Wright, Wesley Pratt, Glenda (Mark) Washburn, Janet (Carl) Collins, Merlin (Maria) Pratt, and Kenneth (Peggy) Pratt.

Carolyn grew up in Neola, Utah, and was married to Gary Kay Winn of Roosevelt.

She then married Michael Holder and lived in Sandy, Utah, Montana and California, where she raised her family, coached girls' volleyball, and enjoyed boat trips to Lake Powell with family and friends.

She has always loved to sew and piece quilt tops together, quilting and finishing quilts many of us enjoy each day. Carolyn loves to be active and productive and always had a good book or hand sewing project nearby while relaxing.

The past 18 years Carolyn put her strength, creativity, and love of doing good and helping others into pet grooming. She loved you and loved your pets and wished she had the strength to keep grooming forever. Thank You, Carolyn.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Jeff Hatch, mother Barbara Pratt, sons Tony (Jonglak 'Nang') Winn Holder, Jesse Holder, granddaughter Hailey Holder (Conner Flynn), and great-granddaughter Hendrix Flynn.

"Gramma" was the light in any darkness. Her love for adventure ran deep in her blood. She explored everywhere from the canyons in her backyard to each corner of the country. She was released from her pain the morning of October 9th, 2018. She hasn't left us, only her pain. She will forever lead each of us in our own adventures now.

Carolyn faced the challenges of her breast cancer with grace and dignity. She blessed us with her beautiful smile and a pleasant "Nice to see you" to the end.

Celebration of Life and Open House will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at LeJardin Reception Center, 1910 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. A light meal will be served, and a program will start at 5:30 p.m.
