Carol Peterson Ware, 89, peacefully passed from this life on Monday, May 16, while staying in the home of Kent and Lora Lee Dastrup in Centerville, Utah. She leaves behind many who love her and moves to a spiritual life with countless others who affectionately welcome her home.
She was born December 8, 1926 in Richfield, Utah to John Lester Peterson and Ellen Rosina Oldroyd Peterson. Carol's mother passed away just over a month after her birth. Her parents prepared a home for her with an aunt and uncle, Isaac Willard Oldroyd and Tina Elevia Jensen Oldroyd. The Oldroyd's provided a warm and loving home and became "mom and dad" for the rest of her life.
She married her World War II sweetheart, Lowell Russell Ware in the Manti Temple on June 9, 1947. They made their home in Monroe, Utah where Lowell and his family operated a dairy business. In Monroe they were blessed with three children.
In 1955 Carol and Lowell moved their family to Midvale, Utah. Later she began work for Mountain Fuel Supply (Questar) where she worked with individual and corporate customer accounts. She retired from Questar after 25 years of employment.
Her life was dedicated to her family and her faith. She spent her entire life serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked in numerous ward and stake callings. She and Lowell served a mission working with unknown member addresses. Most recently she served as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.
Carol loved traveling with her husband, children and other family members. She visited sites throughout the United States as well as Europe, South America, the pacific islands and the near east. She especially appreciated visiting church related locations.
She is survived by her children, Ken (Jan) Ware, Nephi, UT; Camille (Tom) Hicks, Sandy UT; Lora Lee (Kent) Dastrup, Centerville, UT. She has 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her parents and all of her siblings have preceded her in death.

A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, UT and at the church one hour prior to services.
