Carl Albert Johansson

Carl Albert "Al" Johansson Jr.
1924-2021

Al passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2021 at the age of 97 at the Sandy Rehabilitation Care Center. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 11th, 1924 to parents Carl Sr. and Emma Johansson.

Al graduated from East High School and then served honorably in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1952. He then worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Utah until he retired.

Al married Marlene Roach and they had three children. They were later divorced. He married Erika Rudolph and they had one child. They were later divorced. He married Sadie West and they had one child. They were later divorced.

Al is preceded in death by his two brothers Julian Johansson and Paul Johansson.

He is survived by his sister Marty Johansson Taylor and his five children; David Johansson, Joni Johansson Belnap, Brian Johansson, Pete Johansson and Joseph West.

His grandchildren are Ben Belnap, Allison Johansson, Michael Johansson and Analyse Johansson Larsen. His great grandchildren are Lyla, Ezra and Martha Larsen.

Al was a kind and generous person and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank all of the medical staff and caregivers who helped our dad. Their love and kindness are very appreciated.

A small gathering will be held at Camp Williams on June 30th, 2021.
