Carey Dean Waitt

Carey Dean Waitt, age 70, passed away on March 9, 2025 in Mona, Utah. He was born July 21, 1954 in Red Deer, AB Canada to Donald and Holly Waitt. Carey married Melanie on April 30, 2005 in Mona.

Carey, a man with many talents and a heart of gold. With a twinkle in his eye and a smile that could light up any room. He was a true “jack of all trades”, from fixing broken down golf carts, to crafting beautiful woodworking, there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t do. But it was his love for people that truly set him apart. His hugs, they were legendary, able to chase away any sadness and bring warmth to even the toughest of hearts. Carey was a free spirit, but in the hearts of those he met, he found his true home.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Waitt, sons, Chas Waitt, Joshua Newton, Stephen Phillipsen, daughters, Natasha Phair, Novalea Fash, Shayla Arias, Jazmin Bates and 20 grandchildren.
