Calvin Leroy Cook

Calvin LeRoy Cook passed away on October 21, 2017 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Born on July 1, 1942 to Owen Lloyd Cook and Donna Parker in Murray, Utah, Cal grew up in West Jordan. He attended Bingham High School where he was active in wrestling. He married Carla Bills on Oct 2, 1964, later divorced. On August 29, 1994 he married Margy Smith. After working 32 years for Kennecott he retired and together he and Margy have spent many happy years enjoying family, fishing and their cabin.

Cal is survived by his wife and children; Jill Montoya (Jimmy), Steven Cook (Rozanne), Kristen Clegg (Terry), Allison Royall (Greg) and Michelle Perry (Tyler), 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday October 24, 2017 from 6-8 pm and again one hour prior to services at Goff Mortuary in Midvale. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Goff Mortuary with interment to follow at West Jordan City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to be made in Cal's name to Utah Cancer Specialists, or any cancer research organization of your choice.
