Bridget Carmen (Rodriguez) Duran

Our cherished mom and grandma will be deeply missed as she passed peacefully Monday April 10th 2017. Bridget was nicknamed Beedy by family members. Beedy was born July 6th 1922 to Manuel and Octaviana Sanchez in Cebolla N.M. She lived in Chicago, Texas, California and settled in Salt Lake. Beedy spent the last 55 years with her spouse Luis. Her presence filled with love and joy was felt by anyone she came across. She was the glue that bonded her family together no matter how different opinions were. She loved to cook for anyone who came to her home weather it be enchiladas, potatoes and eggs or any other mouth watering dish. Beedy also had a passion for gardening and you could find her outside pruning or plucking to bring out the best flowers, plants, and shrubs that you could imagine. Anyone she came across felt the radiant love she had for life with her beautiful smile. Beedy loved to dance, listen to music and play the slot machines in Wendover. Her legacy instilled in her children LOVING one another and living life to the fullest. She is survived by her spouse Luis, children Rose, Dora, Eddie, Judy, Mark (Lynette) and Anthony (Lisa). 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Octaviana Sanchez, brothers Marcelino and Quentin sisters Josephine, Christina, Pauline and Mary Her son Andy and son-in-law Jim. A vigil will be held in her honor at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 670 so. 1100 e. Monday April 17th at 7:00 pm. followed by a mass on Tuesday April 18th at 10:30 am and a burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery on 1342 east 500 so. Salt Lake City.
