Brent Clinton Sagers

Brent Clinton Sagers returned home to his Heavenly Father on April 4, 2021. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Brent was born in Rush Valley, Utah on May 10, 1947.

Brent served an LDS mission to the Eastern States Mission. He married the love of his life, Barbara Lucille Smith, on August 27, 1983. He served in various church callings such as a councilor in the bishopric, ward mission leader, and scout master.

He was a jack of all trades and was our very own MacGyver. He could fix anything, anytime, anywhere. Brent used his quick wit and incredible sense of humor to make everyone he came in contact with laugh.  He worked hard and he played hard. He loved to golf, play softball, ski, and bowl. He also enjoyed running marathons and his family's yearly camping trip/family reunion to Bear Lake. Brent liked a good crossword puzzle, country music, and took part in the reenactment of the pony express.

Brent is preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Wanda Sagers, grandsons Jake and Ethan, brother-in-law Jerry, sister-in-law Chris, and son-in-law Derek. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Bryce (Maria), Julie (Meshach), Troy (Luna), Cary (Tina), Derick (Ragnhild), Jeff, Tracy, Troy (Shannon), and many grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Linda, Jo, Bart (Tammy), and Martha (Dan). He is also survived by brothers-in-law Neil, Royce (Patty), Ken (Marci) and sisters-in-law Helen (Wayne), Marjean (Gary), and Annette (Neil).

A viewing will be held at the Goff Mortuary in Midvale from 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 8th. The address is 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah 84047.

The funeral will take place at the LDS church building on Friday, April 9th, at 11 am with a viewing beforehand from 10-10:50 am. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel is located on 8825 S 150 W, Sandy, Utah 84070. Masks required.

Brent will be laid to rest at the St. John Cemetery in Rush Valley. North Cemetery Road, Rush Valley, Utah 84069.
