Brent Wall Park

Brent Wall Park, beloved husband, father, Grandpa (Bampa), son, brother, friend, volunteer and hard worker passed away suddenly on September 22, 2023, in Nephi, Utah. He was born April 9, 1957, to Boyd and Thearl Park in Nephi, Utah. He married Angie Bills from Spanish Fork on August 20, 1982. They met at the Duke’s Lane bowling alley where Angie, who was 17 was working. Brent was 24. When Angie saw him walking through the doors, she said “Who is that guy?” Her coworker replied. “ I think he’s a Park kid from Nephi, why?” Angie said, “I’m going to marry that guy.”

Everyone laughed but she got the last laugh. They spent the next 42 years together.

Brent graduated from Juab High School in 1975, where he participated in baseball, football, and basketball. When he was 18, he started his first job with Wonder Bread as a loader and a delivery man. He started his day at 4:00 a.m. and very seldom missed a day. At nights, he would work with his brother Kent at the Circle C service station, fixing diesel tires. When Wonder Bread closed after 36 years, he started working as a groundskeeper for Juab School District along with continuing doing tires for Circle C (TopStop) and Park N Pump. He always enjoyed sharing stories with his coffee drinking buddies every afternoon. Brent took a lot of pride in the Juab School District playing fields. His goal at every football, softball, baseball, or soccer event was beautiful grass and straight lines. He got up early to push snow in winter wanting it to be safe for the students and staff. He loved working with the guys on the crew.

Brent’s main joy in life was serving others without compensation. He was well known by everyone in the county. He took care of everyone else before himself. He was the ultimate volunteer. Angie was a great supporter of all these activities as he supported her with her softball dreams. Brent was a member of the Juab Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue. He joined with his dad and served for over 40 years. He was the first one there and stayed until the search was completed. He knew Juab County and its roads very well. He loved bringing the Ute Stampede parade to a close with his lights and sirens, blocking off streets, and parking cars at the rodeo. As a family we will miss his help finding us parking. He was also a Nephi City VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) officer. He assisted with non-hazard police services like directing traffic at city events and vacation checks or extra patrols. Brent was excited to be asked to be a member of the Juab County Fair Board. He enjoyed being a part of all the fair activities and being the security expert. He was willing to do whatever was asked whether it was guarding the National Guard helicopter or picking up trash. Brent’s favorite hobby was bowling! He bowled in a Payson league every winter with friends.

Brent’s greatest loves were Angie and the girls. They were everything to him. He worked very hard to take care of them and give them all they wanted. When the grandkids came along, he was on another level. He played with them, took them to places like Disneyland and Lagoon, and especially loved taking them out to eat at their favorite places. He was so fun to watch as he connected with them. He was also loved by his nieces and nephews. Most of them spent many hours working with him at Circle C. He was always willing to come to their rescue if they needed something. His great nieces and nephews appreciated his hard work preparing the high school soccer, softball, baseball and football fields for them to play on.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angie, his two sweet daughters, Missy (Scott) Jones and Britiny (Dillon) Jones, and his beloved grandchildren who will miss him very much: Hayden, Madi, Logan, Lexi, Brexlee and Daemon; his mother, Thearl Park, sisters, Debbie (Dale) Ostler, Becky (Alan) Sperry, brothers, Kent (Diane) Park, Kurtis (Jill) Park; his mother-in-law, Sharon Bills, sisters-in-law, Tami (Kent) Scott, Vicki (Shane) Jones, brothers-in-law, Bryan (Joan) Bills, Tony Bills, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Boyd Park, and father-in-law, Mark Bills.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home (94 West 300 North). Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nephi North Stake Center (1125 North 400 East) with a viewing from 9:30 a.m to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Nephi City Cemetery, (517 East 400 North).
