SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Brent Mason Myers, 68, passed away peacefully in his home August 15, 2018. He was born April 2, 1950 in Omaha, NE to Mason Overly Myers and Eloise Pauline Myers. Shortly after he was born the family moved to Ogden, UT and gave birth to Bruce Myers, Brent's brother.

Brent attended Ogden High and graduated in 1968 with honors and won the National Merit Finalist Award in Language (SAT). Following High School, he attended Oberlin College in Ohio graduating in 1973 studying Concert Piano.

Brent loved the pursuit of knowledge and sharing what he knew to others. He was a Music and English teacher at Roland Hall - St. Marks School. He moved to North Carolina to work at the Asheville School as the Choirmaster/Music teacher. He later moved to Virginia to teach at an Episcopal High School.

Brent loved the classics in both film and music - he was particularly fond of Bach. Brent was a connoisseur of food and loved history and was one incredible musician, once given the opportunity to play the organ for President Clinton at a church service near the White House. He enjoyed attending St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in Salt Lake City where he had many friends.

Brent is survived in life by his younger brother Bruce Myers and his wife MiKyung Myers, his nephews Chris, Micah, Jonathan and Wyatt Myers, and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held September 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 S., Salt Lake City, UT.
