Brent H. Hogenson

"Hogey"



A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and good friend, Brent H. Hogenson, passed way the morning of October 28, 2016 with a sudden smile on his face.

Survived by his loving wife, Mary Hogenson and their two dogs; sons, Tad (Toni), Kevin (Cindy), Kim (Jerri Betts); grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sister, Carol (Howard) Ross. Preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Ugstad, and two children, CoyLynne and Michael.

Brent cherished his family and continuously made himself available to help all of us with anything. Brent repeatedly went out of his way to help others. In terms expressed by his oldest son, Tad, "Our dad was a good man; a good father and he sure loved his family, no one ever doubted that."

All who knew Brent appreciated his fun, outspoken and gregarious ways. Brent was exceptionally social, appreciated watching and participating in sports of all kinds and loved spending time traveling with his wife, Mary, and meeting people.

Brent was a graduate of Jordan High School. He was a lifetime bowler and enjoyed taking many teams to nationals, along with owning Brent's Beauty Salon for over 50 years.

We will dearly miss his genuine smile, blue eyes, strong work ethics and his sense of humor.

Memorial service will be Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale.
