Bradley W Thompson

Bradley W Thompson, age 58, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born on September 22, 1961 in Denver, Colorado to Warren and Ivagene (Olson) Thompson. He was the youngest of seven children.

Brad completed his education at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado and began a career in the grocery business for King Soopers. He took a leave of absence to serve his country in the Army for five years. He was very patriotic and proud of his military service. He shared memories of being known as a "Hard Stripe Sergeant" and was promoted to what is known as an "Acting Jack Sergeant" and was a distinguished honor grad receiving a certificate of achievement at AIT during his military career, which meant a lot to him. While serving in the military he had the opportunity to live in Frankfurt, Germany for three years which was a highlight in his life. He would often reflect on how wonderful the German people are and how he enjoyed the culture there. He shared many memories throughout his life about travelling throughout Europe and visiting the castles. Brad earned an honorable discharge for his service. In 1985 he returned to his home state of Colorado and continued working for King Soopers where he worked his way up to Service Manager. Brad later retired from King Soopers to pursue a career in sales. Brad was gifted at being able to connect with people. He excelled in many sales roles, especially enjoying selling radio and television advertising, but he was most passionate about selling home replacement windows.

Brad had a very lively, energetic personality and quite the sense of humor! He had the most memorable laugh! He was very witty, charismatic and a fun person to be around. He was optimistic and had the best attitude no matter what obstacles he faced, and lived life to the fullest with a passion for hot rods, football and riding four-wheelers! Brad will be remembered for being the biggest Denver Broncos fan and for being a classic car enthusiast. He was more fun to watch than the Broncos games themselves, and he would always associate his favorite memories to the car he owned at the time! Brad loved dogs and enjoyed taking his dog, Axel, out for runs on the beautiful Colorado property he lived on. He was very thoughtful of others and would often surprise you with kind gestures, and loved his family more than anything.

Throughout his life, Brad was blessed to have a deep faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brad is survived by his son Brent (Teralyn) Thompson, and their children Treven, Daelyn, Kamryn, and Addisyn; daughter Kristi (Bobby) Dennis and their children Haley, Jaden and Greyson; and siblings: Marilyn (Bill) Dibble, Paul (Cherie) Thompson, Jan Thompson, and Charlene (Rick) Koplin.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents Warren and Ivagene Thompson, sister Julie Bradder, brother Mark Thompson, and brother-in-law William Dibble.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 State St., Midvale, UT 84047 at 11:00 am, followed by a burial service at Midvale City Cemetery, 471 6th Ave., Midvale, UT 84047.
