Bonnie Parr Hunt, 93, was born July 13, 1925 to James Roy Parr and Melba McCullouch in the town of South Jordan.
Our loving Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away September 3, 2018. Bonnie was born in South Jordan, the youngest of three. Her older brother Donald Parr, was a teacher and later became superintendent of Jordan School District. She was blessed to have been born into a family that included her best friend and big sister Jean. The two of them were inseparable and not many a memory was told by Bonnie that did not include Jean, memories of walking cows down the lane, going to the movies and double dates to name a few.
Bonnie attended Jordan High School and met many of her friends there. School is where she met the love of her life, Lawrence Hunt. She waited anxiously for him to return from his service in World War II and married him in the Salt Lake Temple shortly after his return.
Bonnie worked as a secretary at Boise Cascade, a job she truly did enjoy. Bonnie and Lawrence had two sons, Larry and Dale. Bonnie adored her sons and always taught them to get along with one another. Later in life Bonnie found a love of playing the organ in church and fell in love with it so much she had her own organ she played at home. She enjoyed helping Lawrence with their mink farm and was proud to own mink coats that her husband made for her. As life went on she found herself traveling with Lawrence to places like Alaska and Mexico. She would look forward to her Friday shopping trips with her sister and niece Sharlene. They went every Friday for years and Bonnie would come home so proud of the latest treasure she had found.
Bonnie was so proud to be a grandmother and would ask her sons how each of their children were by name any chance she could. Bonnie developed a special relationship with her grand-daughter Sarah, a relationship that can not be explained in words.
Bonnie is survived by her big sister and best friend Jean Furse; sons, Larry (Debi) and Dale; grandchildren Angie (Jeff), Jeanne (Dean), Kimberlee (Jeremy), Sarah (Brady), Jordan (Morgan) and 15 great-grandchildren.
