Robert Bruce Hansen 1942-2016 Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa, cousin, uncle and friend Bob Hansen � age 74 � passed away after a valiant struggle with acute myeloid leukemia on May 2, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alden Marinus Hansen and Rose Elizabeth Roberts Hansen. He graduated from Highland High School in 1960. After graduation, Bob started his own business as owner and manager of Premium Oil Service Station & Garage. He then took over the Phillips 66 Station at the corner of Vine Street and 1300 East until 1978. He enrolled in Salt Lake Community College and Trade Technical School and earned his Master Plumber License and continued on to gain his Plumbing Contractor License. He started his own business named RB Plumbing and Rooter in 1984 and continued working until taken ill in October of 2015. He met and then married his best friend and sweetheart Susann Banks on October 16, 1963. Together they raised four incredible children. Bob had a great love of nature and the outdoors. He loved to travel, camp, fish, hunt, sail, ride his Harley, run marathons, and bicycle. If it was an outdoor activity, he was all for it. Yellow was his favorite color and many of his prize possessions were yellow. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grand-children. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Faye Nickle. Survived by his wife, Susann, children Vickie, Michael, Ron (Janessa), Andrea (Paul), grandchildren Marc, Callie, Sean, Merideth, Caitlin and Cooper, his sister Karen (Larry Raikes) and brother Jack Hansen. A memorial service to celebrate Bob�s life will be held on Saturday, May 7th 2016 at 11 AM. The serve will be at the Canyon Ridge Ward � 2695 East 7000 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
