Billy Grant Chadwick passed away peacefully on August 7, 2019 surrounded by his family.
He was known as husband, father, and Grandpa Billy.
Billy was born on March 25, 1941, in Springville, Utah to James Grant Chadwick and Viola Miller Chadwick. He spent his childhood years in Springville next to family and close friends and graduated from Springville High School.
He served his country, participating in the Vietnam War as a young man. He then continued to work for the US government as a civilian retiring from Hill Air Force Base as a decorated supervisor. Throughout his life he served his Heavenly Father in many church callings. His calling as a ward clerk helped him gain a great appreciation for all the time and effort bishops put into their callings. He spoke highly of their great spirits and positive attitudes. Billy has a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though a quiet person he shared his testimony with his family.
He married his sweetheart Deborah on August 6, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent their married life in their home in North Ogden, together they had their son James and daughter Katrina. His life's passion was being with his 2 children and 7 grandchildren. He balanced his free time between Deborah, his children, grandchildren, and his yard. Billy would be seen outside working in his yard or playing with family. His yard was kept in meticulous order. He kept flower beds filled with the most unique plants he could find and others containing plants that had been in the family for generations.
Billy is preceded in death by his wife Deborah Ann Chadwick, his mother Viola Miller Chadwick, and his father James Grant Chadwick.
Billy is survived by his two children James Chadwick (Sara), and Katrina Durand (Christian); brothers Gary and Ray Lynn (Kathy); sisters Carol McClain (Ralph), Linda Patterson (Bill), and Kim Chadwick Marx, and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 17 at 12:00 PM at the LDS chapel, 575 E. 3100 N., North Ogden, UT, with a viewing before the service from 9:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Burial will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.
