Billie (Bill) Lynn Brundage

Our thoughtful, loving, caring son, husband, father, grandfather, Billie (Bill) Lynn Brundage, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at the age of 67, reuniting with his daughter Jennifer and grandson Bob, whom he missed greatly.

Bill was born the second of six children to the late John Brundage and Bertha Gast Carter on February 3, 1955 in Price, UT. Bill grew up in Provo, UT where he attended many schools. Bill was an active member of the LDS Church and held many callings throughout his lifetime.

Bill married his lifelong companion, Barbara Shanahan Brundage, October 8, 1971 in Provo, UT and was later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. They enjoyed a full, rich, adventurous life for 51 years. Bill moved his family to Payson, UT in 1977, where he raised his three children. If you ask Bill's children about him, they would all agree that he was not only their father, but truly one of their best friends. He was always there if you needed anything.

Bill’s favorite thing in life was spending time with his family. He loved hunting, camping, horseback riding and anything that involved the outdoors. One of his favorite activities was taking the grandchildren fishing in his boat. Due to his declining health over the past few years, he found a new hobby of wearing out the tv remote by flipping between sports and game shows. Bill was always known for his life-long love affair of scaring people for fun. He always had a steady supply of rubber snakes and scary masks.

As a devoted Utah Jazz fan, he respectfully requests six Utah Jazz pallbearers so they can let him down one last time.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Brundage of Mona; two sons, Michael (Ginger) Brundage, Tooele; Brian Brundage, Mona; six grandchildren Jackson Brundage, Chance Brundage, Kimber Brundage, BreeLee Brundage, Cooper Brundage, Mackenzie Brundage; mother Bertha Carter; three sisters, Nicci Dieter, Debra Elvin and Della (Charles) Sorenson.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Brundage, grandson Bob Brundage, his father John Brundage, and two brothers, Johnnie Brundage and Gene Brundage.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, at 11 a.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel, 65 East 100 North Mona, Utah. A viewing will be held, 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will take place at the Mona Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to the staff at Mountain View Hospital and all the many other nurses and doctors for the special care they provided to Bill in the last years of his life. We also extend special thanks and gratitude to the many neighbors, friends and ward members for their devotion, love and care they provided to Bill over the years.
