Our Joy was a gentle but mighty force. A great conversationalist, charming and inquisitive, she used her boundless humor, kindness, and talents to elevate everyone around her. No problem was too big, no road too long, and no mountain pass too harrowing. She cherished learning about and sharing her Danish heritage and ancestry. She was a treasure chest of stories and memories, and she shared them with such detail and purpose so as to bring them to life. She was giving, selfless, and used her abundant creativity to turn everyday moments into fun and memorable experiences. She loved deeply and was fiercely protective. Working to care for and strengthen family and community bonds is where she found her greatest joy.
