Betty Marie Johnson Wahl, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Provo, Utah. She was born on February 10, 1930 in Long Beach, CA to Kenneth Lloyd and Lila Gertrude Coddington Johnson. Betty married Norm Wahl on April 13, 1969 in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Betty recently moved to Provo from Sequin, WA. While she held many positions in life, her most important role was that of "Mother." Betty was an active student of life. She was an adventurer, seeker and explorer. She took every opportunity to enjoy life. Betty taught her children by example, always encouraging them to "reach higher," "remain curious" and "never give up." She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by her husband Norman Wahl, sons Don Burdette Tolley and Michael Wahl, daughters, Terri Moyer and Sherri Hood, 16 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lila Johnson, brothers, Dick and Donald Johnson, and grandson Jason Arden.
A memorial service was held at the home of Michael Wahl on Saturday, March 17, 2018, surrounded by her family.
