Betty Irene Demarco

Betty Irene DeMarco, 85, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away January 14, 2015, in Murray, Utah.

She was born March 30, 1929 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Axel and Esther Erickson Forsberg. She married Anthony "Tony" DeMarco on July 4, 1948 in Ely, Nevada. He passed away on July 7, 2000.

She retired from Jordan School District after many years as a school lunch worker. She was a great cook, and loved to play cards. She loved to travel, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by sons, Joe, Huntsville, Alabama; Dan (Nancy), Salt Lake City, Utah; Bob (Vicky), Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicole, Maria, Danielle (Jeff) Burhman, and Toni. Preceded in death by sister, Judith Wilson; and brother, Neil Frosberg.

The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at Paramount Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.
