Bette Ruth Olson passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21st at her home. She was born on February 6, 1929 to Wilford and Effie Jaynes Olson. She was the oldest of four children. She grew up in Crescent where she attended Crescent Elementary, Draper Jr. High and she graduated in 1948 from Jordan High School. She met her high school sweetheart, Lloyd D. Olson and they were married April 22, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 54 years. Lloyd preceded her in death in 2002.

Bette was well known for her beautiful handwork especially her baby dresses. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her lunch bunch, crocheting and doing her genealogy.

She loved her home at Legacy House and all the many friends who became her extended family. Her family wishes to express their gratitude and sincere appreciation to everyone who blessed her life.

She is survived by her sons: Gary (Kim) Olson, Brad (Roz) Olson, 6 grandchildren: John Jasperson, Danny (Sarah) Olson, Kyle (Steve Kearl) Olson, Brittany (Blaine Arsenault) MacPherson, Tyson (Audrey) Olson and Shaylynn (Connor) Mackie, great grandchildren: Aspen & Meadow Olson, Laela & Ada Olson, Kaden & Tatem Mackie, and Kylie & Caden Arsenault. She is also survived by her brother , Jay Olson, and sister-in-law, Maris Olson. Preceded in death by her parents, her sweetheart, Lloyd, of 54 years, her brother, Duane, sister, JoAnn, and sister-in-law, Lola Mae.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, where there will be a viewing Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Crescent Cemetery.
