Benjamin Ming-Feng Chen 1924-2016 Benjamin Ming-Feng Chen passed away peacefully on December 14, 2016 at the age of 93. He was born on September 16, 1924 in Fujian, China to YangLian Chen and Xiuyin Wu. Having lost his father when he was 9 years old, he learned independence, hard work, and self-discipline at a young age. He worked for the Taiwan Land Management Department for 25 years, then immigrated to America with his family in 1976 to provide a different opportunity for his children. Later, he was much blessed to work for the Family History Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1977 to 2000 as a cataloger of Chinese genealogical records, and was able to provide valuable service to people searching for their Chinese roots for the glory of God. He was sealed to our dear mother Jean Chao Tseng Ku for time and eternity in the Provo Temple on January 13, 1979. Together they have raised three sons and three daughters. His life had been much dedicated to his family as its loving and serving patriarch. He taught them his work ethic and integrity by example, and he sacrificed much to give his family the very best he could provide. His grandchildren all fondly remember him as the grandpa who told everyone that he/she is grandpas favorite one because grandpa just had so much love for each one of them. He is survived by his sweet wife and eternal companion of 66 years Jean Chao Tseng, his six children, Eugene (Helen), Caroline Huang (Harry), Evangeline Jones (Jim), Terence (Lily), Eric (Tammie), Grace Chen (June-Li), 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who have since so selfishly wished that they could have spent more time with him on this side of the veil. Yet may Gods will be done. We are glad that now he could reunite with family and friends face to face clearly on the other side. Viewing and funeral services will be held at the LDS Bountiful 25th Ward Building (1500 South 600 East Bountiful, UTAH 84010) on Friday, December 23, 2016. Viewing starts from 9:00 am to 10:45 am and funeral services will follow at 11:00 am to 12 noon. Interment will commence afterward at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery (1640 E Lakeview Drive Bountiful, Utah 84010).
