Our Beloved Beatrice Fresquez had passed away at the age of 85 in her home, West Jordan, Utah February 19, 2020. Beatrice was the daughter of Guadalupe Gonzales (maiden name, Arceo) and Tomas Gonzales. Beatrice was the loving wife of Elifas Fresquez for an incredible 64 years. Beatrice was the mother of Ernie (Lori), Dinah (Tom), Vicky (Mark), Ranch (Diana), Rick and grandmother to many more.
Beatrice was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and had grown up with 13 siblings. She had enjoyed many hobbies in her life, among them, she was an enthusiastic gardener, an amazing cook, caretaker to all, an amazing listener when you needed a shoulder to cry on, and always there for her family when they needed her most. Her family and friends will miss her very much. Her daughter Vicky states, "She was a beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I will miss her calls, I looked forward to them every single day...she was my best friend...I will miss flower shopping with her... she could always find the most beautiful plants." Everyone who knew Beatrice would agree, in a world that can seem so dark, she had always found a way to uncover the beauty within. Her husband Elifas smiled and boasted humorously, "If my wife had a restaurant, we would be rich!" Indeed, Beatrice was an excellent cook, but as proud as he was of her culinary skills, he was much prouder of the 64 years they had spent together, and who could blame him.
Beatrice was known for her hospitality to company, always willing to fill empty bellies, always the first to take care of little ones when no one else could. She truly was an angel sent to us from the heavens. It's an honor to call her family, we all live and breathe because of her and we will keep her in our hearts forever.
Her family would love anyone who had been fortunate enough to know Beatrice to join the family at Mark and Vicky's home.
