Barry Mortensen

Barry (Dale) Mortensen, loving husband, father, brother and uncle passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 52, after a long battle with NASH cirrhosis of the liver.

Dale loved life. He would always tease and joke with others to have a good time. He loved camping and fishing. He was always a hustler out finding things to buy and sell. He could sell stuff so easily. He was passionate about towing. He started his own towing business a little over 20 years ago which was Quick Tow Towing. He was very successful with it and still kept running it up to a couple months ago when he got worse and had to sell it. He always made his employees feel welcome like family. Also in this timeframe he ran Quick Title Loans and D & R Transport for a while.

He was a very hard worker his whole life, with a natural gift for turning opportunities into success. 

Dale loved dancing and having fun, while out doing this he met the love of his life, Connie, in December 2006. They got married in July 2007. Connie had 2 boys who Dale adopted and loved as his own.He had Connie come work with him running the business, they made a great team. They were always doing stuff together. They were each other’s world’s.

Then in 2014 they had a miracle happen and had a baby girl together.

Dale loved his children and always provided for them clear until the end.

Dale is survived by his wife, Connie, his 3 children Alex, Jaden, and Sadie, mother Fern, sisters Theresa, Regina (Vince), Amanda, brothers Bryan (Andy), Brent, and many nephews, nieces, family and extended family.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, father, stepfather, and uncles.

Viewing will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11 am with a viewing an hour before. Both gatherings will be at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment at the Herriman Cemetery.
