Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Barbee White Buchanan, 88, returned to her Heavenly home on July 4, 2018. Barbee was born on July 28, 1929, to Alden D. and Lois Venita Anderson White in Green River, Wyoming. She married her eternal sweetheart, Bernell Allen Buchanan, on October 17, 1950, in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Barbee was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in numerous callings while raising her family and supporting her husband in his church service.
Barbee had many talents. She sewed for her family, canned produce from their beautiful garden, was a wonderful cook, and was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She left a lasting legacy, teaching others the importance of family, unconditional love, faith and service. She believed in the resurrection and was so anxious to be with her sweetheart again. She endured faithfully to the end and we rejoice that she is no longer limited by her mortal body.
Barbee is survived by her children: Kristine (Steven) Brey, Jeffrey (Becky) Buchanan, Janet (Jeffrey) Sharp, LaRae Buchanan, Beverly Buchanan (Lori Darrington), Shawn (Kim) Buchanan. She has 30 grandchildren and 70 great grandchildren with five more on the way. She had the capacity to love unconditionally and all her family felt that love intensely. She had the touch of an angel, especially when she had a baby in her arms.
Barbee is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Phyllis Crouch and Lois Betts, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice and Riverton Hospital for the tender care they provided.
