Barbara Jean Davis Page, 82, passed away May 30, 2015, surrounded by her family. She had lived a full and happy life. She was born to Owen and Zellma Davis on January 17, 1933 in Wendell, Idaho and spent most of her younger years in Portland, Oregon and Boise, Idaho. She graduated from Boise High School in 1951 and earned her BS degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University in 1955. She taught grade school for a couple years and had an in-home kindergarten.
She married her friend from younger years, Richard Joseph Page in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 10, 1955. A 60th wedding celebration was planned for this week, which the family is disappointed not to share in. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a teacher in all of the auxiliaries and in Relief Society and Young Women presidencies. After retirement, she and Richard served two missions for the Church -- one to Ghana, West Africa and one at the Employment Center in Sandy. They enjoyed traveling together.
Most of her life was dedicated to her family. She loved being a full-time mom. Her devotion of the Gospel guided her life.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, and her children Cathy (Barry), Jeanette (Richard), Marcia (Larry), Steve (Shauntel), and David (Amber), her 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Owen Gerald Davis.
