Barbara Ann Myers, a devoted mother, sister, and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 23, 1940, in Sydney, Australia, to William Kirk and Annie Cook, Barbara's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and unconditional love.
Barbara’s journey began in Sydney, Australia, where she grew up alongside her brothers, Brian and Ray, who remain in Australia. From an early age, Barbara exhibited a steadfast determination and a deep capacity for service, traits that would define her life and inspire all who knew her.
Barbara was the devoted mother of 7 children: Kirk (Mindy), Sara, Amy, Erron, Cole (Pilar), Mitch, and Sam (Nikka), 16 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Her children were the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to their well-being and happiness. She taught them to persevere through challenges, hold fast to faith, and love unconditionally through her unwavering support, gentle guidance, and prayers. She was their rock, confidante, and eternal example of strength.
Barbara faced numerous health challenges throughout her life but met each trial with courage and grace. Her decades-long battle with illness revealed her indomitable spirit and her reliance on her faith. Through her example, she taught her children and loved ones that no matter the adversity, faith, and perseverance could see them through.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barbara’s life was guided by her commitment to her beliefs. She found solace and strength in her relationship with her Heavenly Father and shared that light with everyone around her. Her prayers lifted those she loved, and her service to her church family left an indelible mark on countless lives.
