Barbara Anne Everitt passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was born on December 3, 1960, in Nephi, Utah to Lawrence Bird and Norma Jacobsen.
Barbara thoroughly enjoyed growing up in Nephi and had many fond memories with her siblings and friends. She was a lifelong faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved being able to spend time with the Young Women and Activity Day girls in the ward, as well as serving in many other callings she held throughout her life.
On March 14, 1980, she was sealed for eternity to the love of her life, Dennis Roy Everitt, in the Manti Utah Temple. Barbara’s greatest joy in life was the family she and Dennis raised together.
Barbara loved spending time with children. Throughout her career as a preschool aide, she was able to bless the lives of hundreds of children in the community. She had a natural gift of love and kindness for everyone she would meet. She was always willing to serve others regardless of what was asked and was never someone who would complain.
Most of all, her favorite thing in this world was the time she got to spend with her family. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren with all her heart, and she was able to fight strong for them up to the very end. She will be missed and continue to be greatly loved by all who were privileged to know her.
Barbara is survived by her husband Dennis, sons Derek (Holly), Adam (Adrienne), daughter Mallory (Colton) Shelley, and son Aaron; grandchildren Zedekiah, Alice, Kyle, Maisie, Rachel, Adley, and Benson; brothers and sisters Dale (Suzi) Bird, David (Susan) Bird, Colleen (Loren) Wilson, Richard (Evelyn) Bird, and Danine (Rex) Davis, and aunt Marge Anderson.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father and mother Lawrence and Norma Bird; siblings Jerry, Corey, and Diane; and stepmother Bernice Munk.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Nephi 1, 2, 7 Ward building, with public viewings on Thursday, April 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Nephi 1, 2, 7 Ward building. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.
