We bid farewell to Barbara Romney Bodell, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She left us for her last journey on December 18, 2020. Barbara was born on February 15, 1933 to Albert and Ellen Romney in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the third born of six children.

Barbara lived in Sandy, Utah for most of her life, graduating from Jordan High School and then attended the Salt Lake Business School.

She married John "Jack" Bodell in 1952.

Barbara worked for the Jordan School District for seventeen years and then went to work for Sandy City. She retired in 1994.

Barbara loved to travel, touring many countries around the world and every state but three. She loved to meet people and learn of the many diverse cultures. As soon as she got home from one trip, she was planning her next trip. Barbara loved traveling with Jack in their motorhome, camping, golfing and hunting. They spent six weeks every year in Yuma, Arizona, meeting many wonderful friends.

Barbara loved to read and always had a book in progress, besides traveling and reading, she loved golfing, dancing, going to lunch, shopping with friends and being with family.

Survived by her four sons, Michael, Don (Lana), Reed (Madeleine) and Bryon (Melinda); six grandchildren, Josh, Kole, Lindsey, Jadee, Dalan and Shyloh; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Walker, Lois (Wally) Eidahl; brother, Ronald Romney.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her mother, father, sister and brother.

In lieu of flowers, take your family out in memory of Barbara.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South.
