Audrey Bowlden

Audrey Roper Bowlden, 92, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on August 18, 2017 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on October 6, 1924 in Preston, Idaho to Jesse Warren Roper and Virginia Burnette Beckstead. Audrey married Earl Leon Bowlden on January 24, 1946 in Midvale, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on October 16, 1952.

She worked for the telephone company for 40 years. Audrey was an active member of the LDS Church, holding a variety of callings, including working at the Jordan River Temple for 20 years.

Audrey was always very optimistic and a hard worker. Her sons were her pride and joy; she loved spending time with her family.

Survived by her sons, Val (Pam) and Kim (Donna); 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Midvale 5th Ward, 8171 S. Jackson Street, Midvale. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service, at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
