Arthur Lindsay Milne

A few nights ago we felt the warmest presence of my Mom as she lovingly came and lead my Dad to his eternal home. He was surrounded by a surreal peacefulness and the love of his family. Life could not of blessed us with a better husband, father, and grandfather. He devoted his life to making sure our lives were the best. He succeeded! We love you, Dad. Until we can hug you again...

Art was born January 16, 1933 in Sandy, Utah, to Orval (Mike) Milne and Helen Cushing Milne. He attended elementary and junior high at Union School. He attended High School at Jordan High, where he met the love of his life, Gwynne Park.

Art and Gwynne were married for over 60 years. They welcomed three loving and devoted daughters, who blessed them with eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren whom he loved so dearly. Each one held a special place in his heart. He loved being "Gramps and Papa." He enjoyed all his church callings in ward and stake positions.

Art was a successful mink rancher along with owning "Milne Service" where adults could socialize and kids loaded their pockets with candy.

Dad loved spending time with all of the family at the cabin. You would see sleeping bags spread across the floor for all the grandkids to sleep in after the big bear hike.

Dad enjoyed taking the motorhome out with the family on road trips. Our favorite place was Jackson Hole with all the grandkids.

Art's hobby was Arabian horses. He had many beautiful horses over the years. His favorite was his white stallion, Classee, who won many champion classes.

His family left behind are his three daughters, Staci (David) Larsen, Andra Milne Betteridge, Korbi Brey; eight beautiful grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren to carry on his legacy. He leaves one sister-in-law, Lynn (Kelly) McQuiad. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Gwynne Milne; sisters, Joyce Dahl and Carolyn Kemp; a granddaughter Brook Betteridge and a daughter-in-law Steph Turpin.

Art was admired by many for his kindness to all and his devotion to his family. He will be missed by all that knew him.

A special thanks to Char Stephens, and Brianna Hale of Encompass Health for their warm and loving care they provided for our Dad.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at 1050 E. Chapel Hill Dr. (7410 S.) at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing Tuesday, Dec. 7th 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, and again Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services.
