Annette Swapp, 85, of Sandy, Utah passed away at her home on Friday March 8th, 2024 after a short illness. That same day there was a celebration as our mother was reunited with parents, her son, best friend and love, her husband.

Annette was born June 29, 1938 in Union, Utah to William Arthur and Murvel Ione Gregory Rawson. She married the love of her life, Howard Jones Swapp, on October 1, 1956 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Annette grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Jordan High School in 1956. Annette attended Cosmetology School and worked in a hair salon for a short time. Annette worked 20 years for Jordan Education Association. She enjoyed her job and made lifelong friends. Annette was a creative person and a talented painter. Annette loved to travel and was able to have some great adventures. Annette was a very social person and loved people. She loved serving and touched many lives. She valued her relationships, and those she loved knew how important they were to her. Annette’s greatest joy came from being a wife, mother and grandmother. She is greatly loved by her family.

Annette was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many callings in her life. Annette loved serving as an ordinance worker at both Jordan River and Draper Temples. She and her sweetheart served a mission at the Conference Center on Temple Square for three years. She continued serving after her husband passed away in 2018. Annette always led by example and all who knew her knew her love for her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. She was faithful to the end.

Annette is survived by five of her six children: Shannon (Michael) Walker, Orem, UT; Craig (Susan) Swapp, Sandy, UT; Susan (Bob) Boyle, Draper, UT; David (Stacy) Swapp, Heber City, UT; Bryan (Kerrie) Swapp, Herriman, UT; 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Bringhurst, Sandy, UT; Marlene Mounteer, Sandy ,UT; Gloria (Wes) Anderson Sandy, UT; Rose Ann (Paul) Chamberlin Sandy, UT; Margene (Mark) Goodmansen, South Jordan, UT; Diane (Jeff) Nelson West Jordan, UT; and sister in law Marilyn Rawson, Sandy, UT.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Howard Jones Swapp and son Howard Jones Swapp Jr., her parents William Arthur and Murvel Rawson, siblings Joyce Rawson, William Richard Rawson, and Joan Evans.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11 am at the Forest Bend LDS Chapel located at 1975 East Forest Bend Drive, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84124. Friends may call Thursday evening, March 14, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Anderson & Goff Mortuary located at 11859 South 700 East, Draper, UT 84020, and at Forest Bend Chapel on Friday, March 15, 2024, 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will take place at Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy Utah 84092.

The family wishes to thank the many friends, neighbors, medical providers and associates who have shown compassion and love for Annette.
