Our Beloved Mother, Grandma, Aunt and Friend, Goldie Annette Howarth Kendall completed her life time of service here on earth May 16th, 2018. Annette was born in Nephi UT June 23, 1937, the youngest of seven children to George Gregory and Goldie Alice Irons Howarth.
She grew up and attended Nephi schools, graduating from Juab High School in 1955. She married Terry Kendall in 1955. Together they had 3 children, Jim, Jerry and Kelly. They later divorced.
In 1961 Annette went to nursing school and received her LPN License and began working for Juab County Hospital, now known as CVMC. In 1977 she went back to school to receive her RN license and associate degree. She worked as a nurse in Nephi for 46 years serving and helping others in the community she loved. Many in the community have benefitted from her knowledge and care.
Annette also served the community as an EMT and was a crew member for many years on the ambulance. She was awarded the "United States John Henry Award" for EMT of the year.
Her Medical profession created many lifelong friendships with mutual admiration.
Even though Annette loved her profession and enjoyed going to work, her greatest joy came from her family and extended family, which included nephews and nieces and the neighbor kids. When her kids were young, work did not make it possible for her to always attend the activities they were involved in, but she always made sure that had everything they needed and $5 in their pocket for just in case. She taught her children the value of honest hard work, life was to be enjoyed, you make your own happiness and all choices have consequences. After retiring she jokingly referred to herself as a bleacher bum as she went to watch her grandkids in what they were doing. She loved and cherished time spent with family and friends.
After retiring she still felt the need to serve the community. She joined the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and spent many hours sorting and compiling history. She loved the work of preserving history for future generations.
She loved to travel and was a true Jazz fan to the very end.
Annette was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She had a testimony of the Gospel and became a student of the scriptures in her later years.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings and one grandson JC Reed.
Annette is survived by her two sons, Jim (Marion) and Jerry (Carla) Kendall, one daughter Kelly (Brian) Hansen all of Nephi, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many who called her Aunt and Friend.
