Anna Montoya

Anna Gonzales Montoya was born July 12, 1932 to Thomas Gonzales and Guadalupe Arceo Gonzales. Anna Montoya passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2018 peacefully with her family at her side. Anna was a very generous, loving, caring sister, wife and daughter, and to all with whom she came into contact. She loved children even though she didn't have any of her own. She loved spending time with her brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. She was Catholic and loved her faith. She loved to worship and pray to the Virgin de Guadalupe and recite the Holy Rosary. Anna loved to cook and was famous for her tortillas and beans and cheese sandwiches, always with a pitcher of Kool Aid at hand.

Anna was preceded in death by her mother and father Tomas and Guadalupe, her husband Juan Montoya, siblings Jenny Gonzales, Natalie and Faustine Vigil, Margie and Lawrence Lovato, David and Amy Gonzales, "Lolly" Raul and Georgia Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales, and Tomas Gonzales Jr. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Beatrice Elifas Fresques, Mike and Linda Gonzales, Connie Ochoa, Ross and Claire Gonzales, Louis and Shirlee Gonzales, Gene and Judy Gonzales, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

You were deeply loved by all of us. We would like to give special thanks to the Inspiration Hospice, Leslie, and Rosemarie for all their help and caring.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Catholic Rosary at 7:30 p.m.at Saint Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox Street, Midvale, UT 84047. Visitation and funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. and funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Therese Catholic Church, and graveside services at Midvale City Cemetery at 467 6th Avenue, Midvale, Utah 84047.
