Our beloved Ann was born on May 6, 1938. She passed peacefully from natural causes on July 26, 2024.
Ann’s story is about her love of teaching and her work with children. She earned the B.S. Degree in Education from Brigham Young University in 1960. Bill was still in school. Ann quickly went to work in Salem, Utah teaching third grade soon after receiving her degree. As our 2 sons came along, she was a stay-at-home Mom during their early years. Three years in North Carolina, 14 and a half years in California would land us back in Utah where she would spend the rest of her 30-year teaching career specializing in kindergarten and first grade.
Ann was loved by all who knew and worked with her. She received high respect from parents, colleagues and administration. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They called her their creative grandma because she always had an interesting project to do with them when they came for a visit. Bill and Ann were married in the Salt Lake temple in 1960. She was the love of his life.
Ann is survived by her husband Bill, her 2 sons Daniel Gregg Massey and Randall Craig Massey; her 3 grandchildren, Randall Craig Massey (Jr.), Jessica Massey Schokman, Nicholas Riley Massey; and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by 2 brothers, Burton Arrington and wife Karen, and Jeffrey Arrington and wife Julie.
