It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angela Hatt, age 61, born in Provo Utah, who passed away in her home on 01/21/25. In her final days she was surrounded by her loved ones, which she had more of than she could have ever imagined. Angela was born on February the 7th, 1963 in Provo, Utah to Lamoine Heaton and Theresa McCormick. Throughout Angie’s life she was faced with many challenges. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 6, throughout her life she was proactive about managing her illness. Though she did not let her sickness get in the way of her living her life.
She served her LDS mission in the Ventura California Mission. As Angie was serving her mission she had many experiences that one could only describe as a gift from her Heavenly Father. She had the joy of companionship by two Sister Missionaries who became two of her lifelong friends, Jenny and Shelli. Angie had a career she found meaningful, as a Nursing Assistant where she found joy in helping people. Angela was very intelligent and compassionate, and she found a career that suited her passions in life.
For the last 28 years Angie had the blessing of having her own children, Shalie and Jaden. There are not enough words to describe the love Angie had for her children. She was a shoulder to cry on, an en ear to confide in, and she always had advice to give, whether it was wanted or not. Though that is one thing that her loved ones will miss most, the sound of her voice and the wonderful ring of her laughter.
Angie’s struggles throughout life did not define her. Many people don’t experience the amount of pain in a life time, that Angie experienced on a regular basis. Though she was an eternal optimist, even until the end. She was not afraid to cross to the other side, because she had the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her life, reassuring her that she will have an eternal life in Heaven after a life of devotion to Christ. Angie is no longer in pain; she has no struggles in Heaven, as her Heavenly Father has lifted the burden of physical afflictions from her shoulders and allowed her to be healthy and blissful in Heaven with her family.
Angie is survived by her Husband Paul, Daughter Shalie, (Kai), Son Jaden, (Kimber), her Mother Theresa, Kerrie, and siblings, Roland (Paige), Gary (ReNae), Bobby (Stacey), Darren (Janet), Melissa (Scott), Tricia (Sammy), Kathy (Steve), ReNae (Kevin), Richard (Bridgette), Tammy (Lee), Jason (Juli), Rod (Kaycee), Stanley, (Whitney), Cynthia (Justin). She was welcomed through the gates of Heaven by several of her family members including her Father Lamoine, Grandmother Bonnie, and several dogs including Collin, Callie, Stormy, and Puppy.
A funeral will be held on 01/30/25 beginning at 9:30am with a viewing and the proceeding funeral at 11am. Services will be held at the church she attended for the last 29 years at: 220 E. 8680 S. Sandy, UT 84070. There will also be a viewing on Wednesday, evening, January 29, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the same church.
In lieu of flowers, hold your loved ones closer and make sure the people around know your love for them. For they can be taken in an instant. We will always remember the example Angie leaves behind. She inspired many throughout her life to be better, not only for themselves but those around them. We will live each remaining day missing Angie, but will forever be grateful for the time we spent with her and the memories we had the pleasure of sharing with her.
The service will be livestreamed on the Goff Mortuary Facebook Page at the following link:
