We have lost a great person who has fought a long fight. Ana Lila De Garcia Gonzolez was born March 7, 1934 in Chile, South America. Her parents were Edward Gonzales and Florencia Zepeda Gonzolez. She had 8 brothers and 7 sisters and was the only living sibling. She moved to New York City in 1959. She married Benjamin Garcia and was married for only a few years. She had a very devoted son, Alberto Benjamin Garcia, who always wanted the best for his mother. Her presence will be greatly missed by her son.
Ana was a very good seamstress, who was always able to help others that came over with needs to have clothes mended. When she lived in New York she worked for a fashion designer as a seamstress. When she moved to Utah she suffered a stroke and was in a few different care centers, and her final place of rest was at the Sandy Regional Center. Her son said she was a very kind and loving person and he will miss her deeply.
There will be a memorial service for Ana at the Sandy City Cemetery on Tuesday, November 24 at 1:00 pm.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
There is no one in this world like mothers. She was a special woman and she will always be with us.
