Our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend passed away on November 3, 2019 in Salt Lake City Utah due to an asthma related illness. She was born on November 19, 1980 in Casper Wyoming to Jeanette and Bradley. She married Corey Blanke in 1996 and later divorced but they remained close friends.
How our family describes Amber:
Amber Dawn Blanke also known as (Am Brat) or AM was one of a kind, she was funny, happy, loving, caring and bit eccentric, truly a kindhearted soul.
AM loved her children with all of her heart and soul along with her parents and family and not to forget friend Corey Blanke. She cared so much for others much more than herself, material things were just objects to her. Amber had a deep love for animals everything from dogs and cats to birds and fish. She loved volunteering her time at the animal shelter caring for the dogs and cats and walking through the duck park to feed the ducks.
Amber had struggles with various mental illnesses and personalities. Her life was not easy and hard to understand by many that knew her. Amber endured many challenges and hardships in her 38 years of life. But she was always thankful for what she had even the smallest of things made her happy. AM had to be reminded that she cannot give everything she has to others. You could always count on her beautiful smile, her inherited great grandmas' gorgeous blue eyes and her wonderful sense of humor.
AM had very special and amazing gifts. She had a photographic memory and could remember the smallest details of her childhood that would take you back to memory lane. AM had the ability to express her feelings and thoughts through beautifully written poems and drawings. She also loved to dance and sing.
Our dear Amber is done with all her earthly challenges and struggles. Her heavenly family and father need's her now to love and comfort them. Thank you heavenly father for taking her so peacefully. We love you our dear Amber Dawn Barber Blanke.
Amber is survived by her daughter Charissa M Blanke (Dylan Thompson), son Daniel, mother Jeanette B Gillman, dad James Lee Gillman, siblings Bradley A Barber (Bonnie), Alicia C Romano (Corby), Kelly King and son Daniel, nephews Mason, Mylze, Quinton, niece Marquie, grandpa Bingham, grandma Gillman, and friend Corey Blanke.
She is proceeded in death by her great grandmother Mary Moriarty, grandmother Linda M Perkes, George A Perkes, Anthony H Fitz-Gerald, biological father Bradley Barber and her beloved dog Max.
