Allan Lund

Allan James Lund passed away on July 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 20, 1962 to Marilyn Greenhalgh Lund and James Glade Lund. Allan arrived into this world way to soon – weeks early, in the car, on the way to the Hospital. Likewise, we lost him way too soon – at the age of 60.

However, he packed a lot of living into those years:  As a young boy he was a shadow and constant companion to his Grandpa Frank. He was selected as the first baseman on the Little league All-State Baseball Team. As a very young rodeo clown, he performed and followed the rodeo circuit with his step-father, Neil, who also helped him perfect the skills of fisherman, trap-shooter, painter and hunter.

Allan graduated from Juab High School and went on to obtain certification from Utah Technical College.

He married Linchee Phillips, whom he later divorced. They had two daughters, Christina and Janelle. He then married Wendi Tidwell and they had a daughter, Allison.

Many happy days were spent with his daughters swimming in the pond, fishing at the lake in the summer, and tending the trap lines in the winters. Horseback trips in the mountains, with his mom and brother, were always special. Friends were always welcome on his front porch and the fruits and veggies from his immaculate garden were shared with all who visited him.

Allan is survived by his mother, Marilyn Steele; wife, Wendi; three daughters, Christina (Josh) Dyches, Janelle (Derek) Johnson, and Allison Lund; grandchildren, Tayden, Nikoi, William, Roswell, and Malee; brother Merrell (Melody) Lund; step-sisters, Kaylnn Christensen and Julie (Ken) Friel.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Glade Lund; step-fathers, Neil Garrett and Glade Steele; grandparents, Frank and Sadie Greenhalgh; Nunk and Stella Garrett, and his nephew, Ethan Lund.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 27th at 10:00 am in the Vine Bluff Cemetery. All of Allan’s friends and family are invited to attend.
