Allen H. Howard

Allen H. Howard, 86, of Midvale, Utah, passed away peacefully at home (Legacy House of Taylorsville) on April 19, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Dad was born in Union, Utah on Dec. 14, 1928 to Hereward W. Howard and Lola H. Johnson. He was the oldest of 7 children. He married his eternal companion Leila Carter on Nov. 29, 1949. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 2, 1952. His family was his greatest joy! Along with his devoted church service and missionary work, Dad touched many lives. Dad retired from the Granite School District after 28 yrs of dedicated service. Dad loved to read, take long drives and walk! The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to Legacy House of Taylorsville for their compassionate and tender loving care of Dad during his last years.

Preceded in death by his lovely wife, Leila. Survived by his children, Lorraine Turner (Don - deceased), Glen (Linda) Howard, Neal (Debby) Howard, Ruthann (Don) Breitling, Paul Howard (Billy Fiorelli); sister, Janice Talbot; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Sat., April 25, 2015 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel on 4800 S. 895 W. in Taylorsville, Utah. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
