Allan Stewart Hooton Sr.

Allan Stewart Hooton Sr., 73, passed away on November 15, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on January 19, 1942 to Rex and Velma Hooton.

He was married to his sweetheart, Janice Hughes in the London Temple 51 years ago.  He served an LDS mission in the North British Mission.  He loved to travel and be with his family.

He had a kind, loving, gentle soul and was a great example to all of us. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his wife, Janice Hughes Hooton; children, A. Stewart Hooton, Sharon (Larry) Clark; nine grandchildren/great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel (Esther) Hooton, Richard Hooton.

Preceded in death by his daughters, Tracy Hooton Martin and Kimberly Hooton Marvin; his parents, Rex and Velma Hooton; his grandson, Pierce Walker Hooton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Valley Park 4th Ward Chapel, 2603 W. 4700 S. Viewing will be held prior to funeral services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Valley Park 4th Ward Chapel. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
