Aletha Haueter

It seems my turn on earth has ended, but please be glad for me. I had joy in my family and happiness in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

My turn began in Lawrence, Kansas on the cold morning of January 14, 1926. My parents, Charley and Nellie Laker Shuster, had one other child - my brother Athol.

When I was 12, mother, Athol and I came west and I finished school in Salt Lake, graduating from West High. I trained for my chosen career, nursing, at LDS Hospital and the University of Utah.

On September 24, 1948 I married Lee R. Haueter in the Salt Lake Temple. We had 5 wonderful children and I became a full-time mom - loving it!! I was active in the LDS church and served in all the auxiliaries. My husband and I were blessed to serve as missionaries at the prison, and then in the Family History membership department. I was blessed to be a temple ordinance worker, Family History missionary and ward coordinator for Family History.

As my turn here ends, I leave my precious family for a time. They are John & Heidi, Gordon & Laurie, Sheri, Thomas & Kristy, Dan & Larene, 28 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, cousin Caroline Flory and lifelong friend, Barbara Powell.

Preceded in death by my husband, parents, brother and dear daughter-in-law, Wendy.

Funeral service on Saturday, June 23, 2018, 11:00 am at the Sandy Central Stake Center (1050 East Galena Drive, Sandy Utah). Viewing Friday evening, June 22, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service, both at 1050 East Galena Drive. Interment, Midway City Cemetery.
