Alberto Reginaldo Gallegos (Junior Al) left us to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 9th, 2018 at the age of 65.
Alberto is survived by his wife of 40 years, VelmaLei Gallegos, his daughters, Ramona (Tinker) and Regina Gallegos, his son-in-law, Chris (Tinker), and two beautiful grandchildren who love and will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Reginaldo Fermin Gallegos, his mother, Mary A Gallegos, his sisters, Betty Jo (Lovato) and Judy (Romero), his brother, Robert Gallegos, brother-in-law, Bernie Benitez Sr, and nephew, Isidro Romero.
Alberto was born on January 19th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alberto enjoyed spending time with his family, celebrating life and all the joy it brings. He loved being with his sisters singing, laughing, and dancing. Alberto had many nephews and nieces; he loved them all very much and would always take the time to talk to them when they needed it the most. "Big Al" or "Uncle Al" was never without a smile on his face, he was the person that you could depend on, the person who you wanted to see whenever there was a family gathering, and the life of any party.
Alberto loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He was affectionately known as "Bompa" and no matter how he was feeling he couldn't stop smiling whenever they were around. Bompa will be missed, but never forgotten. Alberto was a life-long Los Angeles Rams fan and celebrated a Super Bowl victory in 2000. Alberto loved music, especially the Beatles and Van Morrison.
