Aimee Dawn Pokorny, age 42 passed away suddenly on March 27, 2017 in Nephi Utah.
She was born March 27, 1975 in Salt Lake City to Dean Allred and Ann Hall Bailey. She married Jason Drue Pokorny on September 6, 1997 in the Manti LDS Temple. She graduated from Juab High School in 1993, attended UVU, and received an associate degree as a Medical Assistant. She was employed at Central Valley Medical Center and later at Juab Jr. High School as an aid in the Special Education Department. She held several callings as a member of the LDS Church.
Aimee was a kind and thoughtful person who cared and served quietly to those who were in need. Her greatest accomplishment was her only child Andrew.
She is survived by her husband Jason Pokorny and her son Andrew, her parents Dean and Ann Bailey, Robert and Shirley Pokorny (in-laws), Myra Pokorny (deceased), her two sisters; Melissa Kinsman (Lee Roy), Amanda Beck (Russ), and her brother, Seth Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Nephi 1st Ward, 200 S. 100 E. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N, Nephi, UT, and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nephi City Cemetery.
