Mary Lou Bodell Densley passed from this life on April 6, 2018, at the home of her son Troy in Herriman, Utah, surrounded by family.

Mary Lou was born December 8, 1926 in Herriman, Utah to William Henry and Mary Alice (Jensen) Bodell. She had one brother Henry Kent Bodell. He died in June 1971.

She married Vere Thomas Densley on January 26, 1944 in Salt Lake City. This marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 3, 1945.

She graduated from Jordan High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah and a Master's Degree from Utah State University.

She began her teaching career at San Juan High School. She was a professor 
of business at Salt Lake Community College.

The LDS Church was the center of her faith. She held numerous positions 
in music, teaching and leadership. For years she shared her musical 
talents as soloist, accompanist and taught many students. She served as 
an organist and asst. music supervisor in the Jordan River Temple.

She loved her family dearly; they were the center of her life. She possessed 
a love for the simple things of life and nature.

Mary Lou and Vere traveled the world to over 70 countries and shared their experiences with their family and friends. She was loved because of her generosity, 
thoughtfulness and sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Henry Kent Bodell.

She is survived by her husband and their 3 sons and 2 daughters, Randal Vere (Jean Jensen Criddle) of Orem, UT, Steven Thomas (Colleen Taylor) of Provo, UT, Alison (Dennis Elmer, Deceased) Seal of Sandy, UT, Troy Lyman (Thais "Tandi" Evans) of Herriman, UT, Maradee (Paul) Henrie, of West Valley City, UT, 28 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, and from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on April 10th. Both the viewing and funeral will be at the Sandy Central Stake Center, 1050 East Galena Drive, Sandy, Utah. Interment will be in the Riverton City Cemetery, Riverton, Utah.
