Lisa Marie Memmott-Young, 42, passed away on February 24, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born March 18, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Michael D. and Shauna M. Memmott.
Life for Lisa was an especially blessed journey. As a child she brought into her family much happiness and excitement. She had a beautiful smile with eyes that gleamed and a distinctive laughter that caused all around to smile and many times join in. She had a wonderful gift that she grew into a blessing into many others lives. You see she had a magical insight and understanding into those who were less fortunate than her and that needed special help. Even when she was struggling in her own life, she was able to rise above herself and do what she could to lift up and care for others. It is a special testament to her that she was able to focus on the good in her life and to not let life's challenges overwhelm her. She was constantly pointing out how blessed she was to have such a wonderful family and special friends, always asking about how they were doing and wanting to help them in any way that she could. She brought into this world two beautiful children who continue to bring much happiness and love into our family. She had a true good heart and a tender spirit.
Growing up she cherished the many times that she was able to be with her Grandpa and Grandmas in Nephi and Lynndyl, Utah. They made sure that she had very many fun activities and memory making experiences. As time went on she said over and over, that she found herself re-living with great fondness those treasured times.
Some lines out of a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson fit Lisa perfectly:
That woman (Lisa) is a success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who left the world better than she found it. Who looked for the best in others and gave the best she had.
We wish gods speed to our dear Lisa. May your reunion with your brother and sister, your sister-in-law and grandparents be glorious. In the Lord's own time we look forward to being with you again. Until then the tears that we shed are because we love you and really really miss you. Our lives were better because of you.
She was the sixth of nine children. She is survived by her parents, her daughter Zoie Marie Limb and her son Kaleb Jacob Young, sister Claudia Vealey, her sister-in-law Deni Memmott and her sons Hunter, Merrell, True and his wife Nikki and their two sons Damien and Roman.
